Electrical Safety Measurement
For the purposes of this Directive, "electrical equipment" means any equipment designed for use with a voltage rating of between 50 and 1000V for alternating currents and between 75 and 1500V for direct current, except for materials and phenomenons listed in Annex II. Member states shall take all appropriate measures to ensure electrical equipment may be placed on the market only if, constructed in accordance with good security force in the Community in the case of installation and maintenance, and for use of its intended purpose for the safety of persons, animals and property.
